John W. Schmitt, M.D. - Division Chief
Dr. Schmitt directs the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas in San Antonio and completed his residency at Duke University. He comes to UVa with 15 years of experience in private practice at Mid-Carolina Obstetrics and Gynecology in Raleigh, N.C. He is Board certified, as well as being a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. At Northridge, he continues to enjoy the practice of general obstetrics and gynecology. He enjoys outdoor activities and he and his family love being in the Charlottesville area and part UVA.
Katherine Kent, M.D.
Dr Kent is a native Virginian. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. She then received her medical degree from the University of Virginia. She completed her residency training at Duke University, and spent several years in practice in both North Carolina and Florida. She now happily returns home to Virginia! Dr. Kent enjoys all aspects of general Ob-Gyn and is actively involved with the Teen Health Center. She is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dana Redick, M.D.
Dr. Redick is a graduate of Oregon Health Sciences University and completed a residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. At the Northridge health care center, she enjoys the practice of general obstetrics and gynecology. Her special interests include advanced laparoscopic surgery as well as adolescent health. She is actively involved in the Ryan White Clinic and the Charlottesville Free Clinic. She enjoys biking, and softball.
Megan Bray, M.D.
Dr. Megan J. Bray is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson Medical College and completed her residency here at the University of Virginia. She was on staff at Georgetown University for 6 years. She is a general Ob/Gyn and holds special interests in medical education, abnormal paps, and adolescent gynecology. She is the third year medical student clerkship director in the school of medicine. In her free time she enjoys sports, reading, and being a new mom!
Michael Moxley, M.D.
Dr. Moxley is a graduate of the University of Virginia and completed his residency at the University of Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, N.Y. As part of Dr. Moxley's faculty responsibilities, he is Assistant Residency Director and is involved in the Ryan White Clinic. Dr. Moxley is trained in general obstetrics and gynecology, with interests including hysteroscopy, HIV disease, and minimally invasive surgery.
