The Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (formally known as Urogynecology) provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of women with pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and anal incontinence. Collaborative relationships are held with the Department of Urology, the Women's Digestive Health Center, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Anesthesiology and Physical Therapy in order to provide a multi-disciplinary, patient-centered approach to women with more complex pelvic floor disorders. In addition to providing a full complement of non-surgical and surgical services for these particular conditions, the Division offers surgical consultation for other benign gynecologic conditions, with a particular emphasis upon vaginal surgery.

Currently, the majority of clinical services are located at the Primary Care Center OB/GYN ambulatory clinic, with ancillary services available throughout the University of Virginia Health System campus.
