U.VA HEALTH SYSTEM HOSTS COMMON GROUNDS CONFERENCEOn Wednesday, May 31, more than 35 biomedical and biotechnology companies will be in Charlottesville for the University of Virginia Health System's Common Ground, Building Collaborative Partnerships with Industry. The purpose of the event is to help connect industry representatives with key research faculty members of the Health System as a way to encourage partnerships for sponsored research projects.In addition to presentations by U.Va. faculty, representatives from the U.Va. Patent Foundation and Real Estate Foundation will be featured. Attendees will have opportunities to visit research displays, tour key laboratories, meet with faculty, interview graduate students or consult with representatives from U.Va.'s corporate support services. The program, which begins at 8 a.m. in Jordan Hall Conference Center, is open to reporters. May 25, 2000 |
