The Office of Telemedicine at the University of Virginia Health System serves as the hub of a 47 site telemedicine network in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Through this network of hospitals, community health centers, schools, clinics and prison healthcare facilities, the Office of Telemedicine provides access to specialty care and preventive healthcare services not locally available to the citizens of rural and Appalachian regions of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
