KLUGE CHILDREN'S REHABILITATION CENTER ACHIEVES THREE-YEAR ACCREDITATION

Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center (KCRC) has been accredited for three years by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation program and its Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation program. This is the third consecutive, three-year accreditation awarded to KCRC by the commission.

This achievement is the highest level of accreditation obtainable and is awarded to organizations that show substantial fulfillment of the standards established by CARF. Recipients of the accreditation have undergone a rigorous peer review, have demonstrated the highest quality of programs and services and have an established pattern of maintenance and improvement of total operations.

KCRC is a non-profit organization that has provided inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation the Charlottesville area since 1957.

CARF is an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits programs and services in adult day services, assisted living, behavioral health, employment and community services, and medical rehabilitation. Since 1966, CARF has established consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
