BESTSELLING AUTHOR SLATED AS COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER AT U.VA. SCHOOL OF MEDICINE GRADUATION CEREMONY

Dr. Spencer Johnson, author and co-author of nine New York Times Bestsellers, including number one bestsellers Who Moved My Cheese? and One Minute Manager, will be the graduation speaker for the University of Virginia School of Medicine on Sunday, May 21, at approximately 12 p.m., in the tent opposite the entrance to the Old Medical School on Hospital Drive.

Johnson is a distinguished fellow at the Harvard Business School and an internationally respected thought leader. His books have helped people lead healthier, more successful lives, with less stress.

His other bestsellers, include: The Precious Present; Yes or No: A Guide to Better Decisions; The Value Tales® children's books; and five books in the One Minute® series: The One Minute $ales Person, The One Minute Mother, The One Minute Father, The One Minute Teacher and One Minute For Yourself.

Prior to writing, Johnson served as medical director of communications for Medtronic, the inventors of cardiac pacemakers; research physician at The Institute for Inter-Disciplinary Studies, a think tank; and consultant to the Center for the Study of the Person, and the School of Medicine at the University of California.

Johnson earned his B.A. in psychology from the University of Southern California and M.D. from Britain's Royal College of Surgeons.
