- University of Virginia's Movement Disorders Program offers comprehensive care for patients with:
- Parkinson's Disease and related disorders
- Huntington's Disease
- Ataxia and cerebellar syndromes
- Tremor
- Dystonia: We offer specialized evaluation and treatment of dystonia, including both clinical and electro-physiologic evaluation for diagnosis and treatment with both drugs and botulinum toxin (Botox) injections. Click here to review an article about dystonias and their treatment.

A movement disorder can be a frightening and overwhelming experience. Our caregivers attend to both the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families. Our patients benefit from a variety of rehabilitation services that helps restore and/or maintain maximum functioning. We offer:
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech and language therapy
- Neuropsychological testing
- Nutrition counseling
- Evaluation for home health care needs
Children with movement disorders are treated and rehabilitated in conjunction with special services of the Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center, including the Motion Analysis Lab.
