Inpatient
The 30-bed Adult Neurologic Inpatient Service on the sixth floor of University Hospital accepts patients from Virginia and surrounding states. In addition, because of the subspecialty expertise of particular faculty members, patients are sent from the rest of the U.S. and the world. Patients are admitted for diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of neurologic diseases. Those diagnosed with chronic illnesses are followed by attendings and housestaff in the Neurologic Outpatient Unit.

Nerancy Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NNICU)
The Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
The Spinal Cord Injury Unit

Pediatric Services
Consultation Services:
Patients located on other services and in the emergency rooms with concurrent neurologic disorders are managed through the following neurologic consultation services:
- Adult Neurology
- Pediatric Neurology
- Neuromuscular Disease
- Neuropsychology
- Cebrovascular - Stroke
Pediatric Neurology:
Pediatric neurology patients are admitted to the pediatric services, and their care is coordinated by both services.
