NEURODEGENERATIVE DISORDERS - FACULTY POSITION
    
The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia seeks a Neurologist with subspecialty expertise in neurodegeneration, specifically movement or cognitive disorders, to join busy multidisciplinary programs in those areas. In addition to subspecialty practice, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in clinical research studies and teaching programs for medical students and neurological residents. MD with board certification in Neurology and subspecialty expertise in movement or cognitive disorders required. Faculty rank is negotiable based on experience.

STROKE NEUROLOGY - FACULTY POSITION
     The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine invites applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in the area of Stroke Neurology.  Academic rank is dependent upon qualifications and experience.  Competitive candidates will be board certified/eligible in Neurology, be fellowship trained in Stroke or NeuroCritical Care, and be engaged in translational or clinical epidemiological research.  The UVa Stroke Center is a multi-department, JCAHO certified Primary Stroke Center anchored by 4 full-time Vascular Neurologists.  The program includes a dedicated inpatient Stroke Unit, a robust clinical research program, and an ACGME-approved Vascular Neurology fellowship. There is strong collaboration with Interventional Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery, and Stroke Rehabilitation (also JCAHO-approved). Additionally, there are strong core programs/facilities to support translational and clinical research.
