The brain is a truly amazing organ! It's made up of about 100 billion nerve cells called neurons that communicate using electro-chemical signals.There are different neurons that do different things. For example, there are special neurons that tell your muscles what to do to help you walk across the room, other neurons help you know when something is hot and to pull your hand back to avoid getting burned.
