The First Step
You can reach the Neuro-Oncology Center by calling 434-982-4415. The first voice you hear will likely be that of Bruce Leffler, our Administrative Assistant. Bruce schedules appointments and tests, and helps get messages to everyone. He can also be reached by email at bel4d@virginia.edu.
Most of the patients seen at the UVa Neuro-Oncology Center are referred to our Center by community medical and surgical oncologists once an initial diagnosis has been made. However, we do accept patients without referrals. If your insurance plan does not require a referral in order to consider a claim, please let us know who referred you to our Center.
Appointments for new patients with one of our neuro-oncologists or neurosurgeons are usually available within a week.
