The Newborn Emergency Transport System is available 24/7 to transport critically ill newborns by air (Helicopter and Fixed Wing) and ground from multiple hospitals within Virginia, West Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, Tennessee, & North Carolina!
NETS mainly transports newborns back to UVa but will also do transport from one hospital to another hospital, we call those triangle transports.
NETS can provide Nitric therapy, ventilator, C-PAP, art lines, and cold cooling protocol on transport.
To arrange for NETS to do an EMERGENT and/or reverse back to lower level of care transport please call (434) 924-2335 and ask to speak to the Attending on call or the NETS Clinician on call.
