| Eric Graziano - Medic, graduated from Fluvanna County High School in 2003, during his high school years he became a volunteer of the Lake Monticello rescue squad as an EMT-B and at the age of 18 he became a member of the East Rivanna Fire Company. He joined the NETS team in April 2006 as an EMT-EN and is currently certified as a Nationally Registered EMT-Intermediate. Eric's plans for the future are to become a Flight Paramedic and a Fire Marshall. | ![]() |

Jame Hicks, RN - Jamie graduated from James Madison University's nursing program in 2001. After graduation, she began working at UVa in the Newborn ICU and from the very beginning hoped to one day join the NETS team. After a few years at UVa, she moved to the Fredericksburg, VA and worked at Mary Washington Hospital in the Newborn ICU and cross-trained to the well-baby nursery, mother/baby, and pediatric units. Jamie returned to UVa in 2006 and in 2007, was finally invited to become a NETS nurse. In addition to caring for sick neonates, her professional interests include supporting and educating breastfeeding mothers of NICU babies. Jamie lives in Fluvanna County with her family. |

| Mike Mohr - RN, started in the medical field as a radiology technician in the emergency room at Erie County Medical Center in 1976. Mike was also a member of the Gainesville, New York Fire and Rescue Squad where he served as a Firefighter, EMT, and the Vice-President. After graduating from Erie Community College in 1980 with a degree in nursing, Mike went to work at Buffalo Children's Hospital as a Radiology Technician and a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab. Mike, originally from Buffalo New York, moved to Richmond Virginia in 1984. Since moving to Richmond Mike has worked in the NICU, PICU, and TCV ICU at Henrico Doctors' Hospital. Mike came to work at UVA's NICU in 1999. In 2008, with 22 years of NICU experience and service, Mike joined the NETS team at UVA. When Mike is not working at UVA, he enjoys diving and flying his plane as he is a certified diver and FAA licensed pilot. | ![]() |

Jason Morris - Medic, got involved in EMS as a First Responder while working for GE Fanuc North America. His additional duties included being a member of the Emergency Response Team. Jason later become certified as an EMT and continued his involvement with the ERT. He also held the position of Captain for one year while being a part of this organization. During this time Jason and his fellow officers were a part of GE Fanuc becoming licensed as an originally as an ALS non-transport agency. Jason became a full time volunteer with Greene County Rescue. He also joined the Pegasus Ground Team as an EMT driver and worked part time from 1998 to 2000. He currently works as a Medic with the Newborn Emergency Transport System and has been involved with NETS / Newborn Intensive Care Unit since 2000. He also continues to volunteer with Greene Rescue and earned his ten years Lifetime Membership Christmas of 2006. Currently Jason's certifications include - EMT-Intermediate, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider, Stable (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Breathing, Labs, Emotional Support), Fire Fighter 1 & 2. |

Jo Scott - Clinician, Our "Kiwi Gal" of the NETS team; was born and raised in New Zealand (not to be confused with Australia). She began her nursing career in New Zealand where soon after graduating she started her dream job in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Wellington Women's Hospital, and it was there that she began doing neonatal transport and loved every minute of it. Her personal goal is to see the world and meet the people in it, which explains her 4 years in Hawaii, 6 years in Spokane, Washington and her present position in Charlottesville, Virginia. At every stop she has worked in the NICU arena, with the exception of the 2 years that she worked in the Operating Room in Hawaii. Presently she is a graduate student in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Virginia and will graduate in the spring of 2008. Her long term professional goal is to work in a developing country, educating women regarding the health maintenance of themselves and their babies.

Margaret Skehan - Clinician, Graduated from nursing school in 1993. Shortly after graduating Margaret moved to Charlottesville after taking a job at UVA. Margaret went to work in the Critical Care wings of the Hospital. She has many years experience working with neonates through adult critical care patients. In 2007 Margaret joined the NETS team as a Clinician. |
| Kim Sperber - Clinician, Kim graduated Nursing School in 1990 from Alfred University in upstate NY. She then went to work at the University of Rochester in the Newborn ICU. There is where she started and got the love of transports. From there Kim and her family moved to South Carolina, where she worked at Mcleod Regional Medical Center in the NICU for 2 years. After that she moved again to North Carolina, where she worked at Frye Regional Medical Center in their NICU. With family career changes, Kim and her family found themselves moving to Roanoke Virginia where she worked at Carillion and did neo/peds transports for 5 years. During this time, she also worked prn here at UVA in the NICU. Over the past couple of years Kim obtained her masters in nursing specializing in neonatal nurse practitioner. Since graduating, she continued to work at UVA in the nicu and in Nov of 2007, took a position here as a NETS clinician. Kim's true love has always been transports and knowing we are serving the community, and providing outreach education. Kim currently lives in Botetourt County with husband and 3 kids. Kim's certifications include NCC certified high risk neonatal nursing, NRP instructor, Pals. | |

Patrick Watson - Medic, started in Fire/EMS at the age of 16 after losing his childhood home to a fire himself. He was a volunteer for both the local Fire Department and Rescue Squad in Farmville, VA. After High School he worked for the Emergency Department's Medic 5 team (now the Emergency Transport Team). He then moved to Buckingham and Joined the Buckingham Rescue Squad where he held multiple positions including Captain in 2005-2006. Today Patrick lives in Charlottesville where he volunteers with the Western Albemarle Rescue Squad. Patrick loves the NETS team and loves working with the babies. He says "It is truly a one of a kind job and I would not change it for anything! There is nothing better than seeing a critically ill patient you transport leave the hospital to go home to their parents, it is truly one the best feelings in the world knowing you helped safe a life." Currently his certifications include: Nationally Registered EMT - Intermediate, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and a Neonatal Resucitation Provider. |

Andy Wilson (MEDIC 29) 1981-2007 |
Andy Wilson - Medic 29, joined NETS in 2005. He was enrolled in the Paramedic Program at the time. He went through the EMS hoops from EMT-B to EMT-EN, and finally NREMT-I. Andy loved NETS and the babies he worked with. Andy worked with NETS and volunteered with the Greene County Rescue Squad. Andy held multiple positions in the Greene County Rescue Squad such as, 2nd LT., 1st Lt., and Supply Sergeant. Andy was voted BLS Squad Member of the year in 2005 by the Greene County Rescue Squad. Andy was a great man and a great Father. Andy has one daughter, Callie, who was 5 years old at the time of his death. Andy worked with NETS until his tragic death in February of 2007. Andy was 25 years old. At the time of his death Andy was days away from testing for his Paramedic license that he couldn't wait to get. Andy will never be forgotten for his humor and intelligence.
