Skyline Regional Perinatal Coordinating Council (RPCC)

Mission
To coordinate, promote, and evaluate mothers' and infants' health and services in the Skyline Region in Virginia.

Who Are We?

The Skyline RPCC is a multidisciplinary council of health practitioners, consumers, and others who are concerned about maternal and infant health in our region. Members come from hospitals, health departments, and clinics in every part of the region. The Council has been active since 1992 and meets semi-annually. Subcommittees have additional meetings.

Primary Activities

· Coordinate care between agencies.
· Provide and foster education for practitioners.
· Address gaps in services and barriers to health care for patients.
· Support good public policy for mothers and infants in Virginia.
· Evaluate positive and negative aspects of our regional health system.

Funding and Affiliation

The Skyline RPCC is one of 7 RPCCs in Virginia, funded through a grant to the Virginia Department of Health with monies from the Division of Women's and Infants' Health, Maternal Child Health, and Title V Block Grant.
