The University of Virginia is very active with outreach continuing education. The Perinatal Continuing Education Program (PCEP), which was developed here under an NIH-contract in the late 1970s, continues to be updated by the Division, continues to be used in 41 states nationally, and has been used as a model for perinatal education in 6 countries.
