The Student Health Insurance Committee advises the VP for Student Affairs of UVA about the insurance plan that is endorsed by the University. Responsibilities include: attending committee meetings and presentations; keeping students informed about policy changes; soliciting opinions on issues to be voted on within the SHIC; and representing the opinions of the medical student body within the ommittee. The student voice is essential and valued. The most important criteria is an interest in the Subject and willingness to get input from the rest of the medical students. |
