Medical Toxicology Research: Clinical
Due to the marked activity of our acute care clinical practice, numerous research ideas have been borne during the management of our poisoned patients. We have also collaborated with a number of other institutions to perform multi-center research groups. The following are research projects recently completed or in process:
Recently the Division of Medical Toxicology participated in a multi-center study of antivenom for Black Widow Spider bites.
- Retrospective comparison of safety and efficacy between the oral and IV forms of N-acetylcysteine (multicenter). Study sponsor: American Academy of Clinical Toxicology. Ongoing
