SPECIMEN REQUIREMENTS:

Submit large specimens fresh, covered by moist cloth and a plastic bag. Submit small specimens (biopsies) on saline soaked gauze. All specimens must have a label affixed with the patient name, medical record number and/or date of birth. All specimens must be accompanied by a completed Surgical Pathology Requisition.

TESTING SCHEDULE:

Daily 7am-6pm, all other times available by Pathologists/Pathology Resident on call.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

All specimens should be hand carried directly to Surgical Pathology East, University Hospital Room 2642
