SPECIMEN REQUIREMENTS:

Submit biopsies in a jar of 10% Neutral Buffered Zinc Formalin (available in the OR, minor surgery and most clinics) to Surgical Pathology for review. Some tissue may require special testing. All specimens must have a label affixed with the patient name, medical record number and/or date of birth. All specimens must be accompanied by a completed Surgical Pathology Requisition.

TESTING SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday, 7am-5pm, All other times available by Pathologists/Pathology Resident on call.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Send all specimens directly to the lab via the pneumatic tube system station 423 or hand delivery directly to the lab, UH Room 2642
