To help establish brand presence in the minds of our internal and external constituencies, the UVa Health System identity… as expressed in every visual representation of our company, our facilities, our services and our programs, must always reflect a quality image. This can only be done through the consistent and high quality use of every Health System identity element…our names, our logo, typestyles and overall graphic design.

This discipline is essential to building brand presence and is not unique to UVa Health System. Quality organizations in every sector of the economy pay meticulous attention to the way they visually present themselves to their various stakeholders. They do so because a consistent and powerful expression of their brand is a critical success factor in building business, attracting quality employees, and growing a quality reputation.

There are four audiences for Health System marketing materials: corporate, internal, physician and consumer. We approach each audience with a unique design while maintaining consistency of color and fonts.
