Computer Software List, Level of Support, & Location

The following chart lists the titles of software available in the LRC general lab area, classrooms, & the Media Studio. Information on the level of support, the platform & the application type are also listed. When a CD is required to launch the application, please come to the LRC Desk & ask for assistance. Current circulation restrictions are noted.

SOM & SON Programs

*When a CD circulates, we do not allow the CD to be charged before 5:00 pm in the evening. It will be returned to the Library the next day as close to opening time as possible. No renewals, no advance reservations. Checkout is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Software Support

Software support is available at the LRC Service Desk as outlined below. For the most complete assistance we recommend making an appointment for a one-on-one consultation by contacting Ellen Ramsey, Learning Resources Manager.

Basic Level

Staff members can assist with the fundamentals of the software, including how to locate and launch the program, open a file, print, save and close, as we well as how to locate online, printed, or in-person help. Available all hours the Library is open.

Mid-Level

Staff members can support fundamentals as well as commonly performed functions for programs, utilizing their knowledge as well as guides, “wizards,” tutorials, and manuals to achieve the desired outcome. Available Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm.

Full-Level

Staff members are knowledgeable about major aspects of the program and can assist with most functions. They can assist with troubleshooting, configuring, and other elements of the software. Full-level support for certain titles may only be available from specific LRC staff members.
