Private Funding Opportunities Database

Looking for research funding? There’s a new source for identifying private funding opportunities for UVa Health System researchers. It’s called the Private Funding Opportunities Database and it can be found on KnowledgeLink.

This resource was created by the Health System Development Office, the SOM Office of Grants & Contracts and the SOM Office for Research as a way for UVa investigators to learn about sources of funding and upcoming deadlines. It includes:

• A calendar containing upcoming and historical deadlines from private funding sources.
• An alphabetical list of funders (selected foundations, associations, and non-government organizations) providing basic information on their funding interests and links to their Web sites.
• Information on internal SOM funding opportunities.
• Tips on writing grant proposals.

Researchers may also sign up to receive e-mail alerts based on several specific areas of interest. If you have any questions or suggestions, please e-mail cfrinfo@virginia.edu.
