The Learning Resources Center (LRC), located on the first floor of the Health Sciences Library, is the home of the Library’s computer lab, classrooms, audiovisual collection, and Media Studio. The lab’s Windows and Macintosh computers provide access to the Web, e-mail, general purpose and biomedical software.

LRC staff members provide assistance with lab computers, scanners, and software all the hours the library is open. LRC staff members are also available on an appointment basis to provide one-on-one consultations on a number of topics including presentation software (PowerPoint), scanning, PDAs, and Media Studio services such as editing digital video.

Ellen Ramsey, M.Ed.	Learning Resources Manager [detail] Ellen worked with ITC for six years before joining the Library staff in January of 2004 as the Education Technology Coordinator. A year later, she took on the role of Learning Resources Manager. Ellen manages the Learning Resource Center (LRC) which includes the Computer Lab, Media Studio, and the LRC Service Desk. She is committed to enabling use of instructional delivery systems and emerging technologies among the HSL’s constituency and is responsible for AV collection development and management.	ellen@virginia.edu	924-9962
Pat Shannon	Learning Resources Center Assistant [detail] Pat has been with the Library since 1988 and is responsible for providing user support, individual consultations, and classroom instruction.
