Diane is an Evening Services Support Technician, and has worked in the Library since 1996. She provides stacks maintenance support by shelving books and journals and maintaining the order of periodicals in the journal room. Diane assists patrons with locating books or journals and also staffs the Circulation Desk in the evenings when needed.

Sue manages daily operations of the Acquisitions, Serials and Bibliographic Services to provide the services necessary to ensure the receipt and processing of all library media. She works with several other departments in planning and implementing projects to provide improved services to the patron. She also establishes procedures and policies and keeps abreast of changing technologies within and outside of the library.

Jeri joined the library staff in September 1984. As supervisor, she supervises all Document Delivery activities. Jeri is responsible for ensuring quick turnaround times for all document delivery services, including ILL, Photocopy, Courier, and Ivy Stacks.

Intellectual Access Librarian [detail]
Nadine leads and provides intellectual access initiatives having a Library-wide and user/community focus. Major projects include the staff and public interfaces to the online catalog, imaging projects, and the Library’s Intranet known as Knowledge Web. These initiatives aim at fostering improved and faster (i.e. quality assurance) access to all the Library’s resources. Intellectual access involves the application of specialized record formats for electronic transmission, indexing, searching, and standardized national vocabularies for content/informational access.

Tenzin began work at the Library in October 2005, having formerly worked at UVa’s Law School Library. He is on the evening services staff, and works Tuesday through Saturday. He provides patron service at the Circulation desk as well as assisting with closing and other responsibilities.

Monica began working in the Bibliographic Control Department in 2000. She is responsible for data processing and creation of pre-cataloging and copy cataloging records for all library materials utilizing Sirsi and OCLC. She supports the Serials Department by checking in the periodicals and non-serial materials for the Library’s online catalog. Monica also assists the Access Services Department by providing circulation desk coverage several hours a week.

Dan began working for the Library in October of 1991. His primary responsibilities include managing Circulation, Document Delivery, Serials, Acquisitions, Intellectual Access and weekend/evening services. In addition, Dan often leads many of the Library’s assessment initiatives, including local and national surveys. His professional interests include managing for excellent customer service, workflow analysis, and assessment of library services.

CMAS Project Assistant [detail]
Susan has worked for the Library since 1992. She was the Circulation Supervisor until the Fall of 2005, when she became the CMAS Project Assistant and her schedule changed to part-time. Susan helps the Assistant Director for CMAS with departmental projects such as composing and maintaining the Disaster Plan, renovation project management, user surveys, data analysis, the maintenance of policies and procedures, and various other projects, both short term and long term.
