Welcome to the Carter Classroom!
In the fall of 1999, the Library received a generous gift from Dr. and Mrs. James Carter of West Virginia to establish the “James M. and Ruby G. Carter Library Technology Fund”. The annual income will be used by the Library to purchase state-of-the-art computer technology to support the teaching of information management and to ensure the Library’s electronic networks are kept up-to-date.
To honor and celebrate this gift, we have named our new classroom the Dr. and Mrs. James M. Carter Classroom, with a dedication on April 27, 2000.
Dr. Carter, a Highland County, Virginia native, was a 1953 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine and practiced radiology in West Virginia until his retirement.
Thank you Dr. and Mrs. Carter!!
