America's "Top Cancer Doctors" from the University of Virginia Department of Medicine
| CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., April 7, 2009 -- Seventeen doctors at the University of Virginia Health System made the list for America's Top Doctors for Cancer (fourth edition, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.). Five of these doctors are faculty members in the Department of Medicine (see the list on the right).
The Top Doctors are selected through a peer nomination process. More than a quarter million doctors were surveyed about who should be included in the book. Surveyed physicians nominate top doctors in their own and other specialties, especially those to whom they would refer their own patients. |
