UVa "Top Doctors" in the Department of Medicine Named by Specialties

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 24, 2006 -- This year fifty doctors at the University of Virginia Health System made the list of America's Top Doctors, sixth edition, published in a volume by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. Twenty one of these "Top Doctors" are in the Department of Medicine shown by their subspecialty at the right.

The Top Doctors were selected through a peer nomination process. More than a quarter million doctors were surveyed about who should be included in the book. Surveyed physicians nominate top doctors in their own and other specialties, especially those to whom they would refer their own patients.
