UVa "Top Cancer Doctors" from the Department of Medicine Named
| CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 24, 2006 -- Nineteen doctors at the University of Virginia Health System made the list for a new volume published this year: America's Top Doctors for Cancer (first edition, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.). Five of these doctors, listed on the right, are faculty members in the Department of Medicine.
The Top Doctors are selected through a peer nomination process. More than a quarter million doctors were surveyed about who should be included in the book. Surveyed physicians nominate top doctors in their own and other specialties, especially those to whom they would refer their own patients. |
