We are developing evidence-based instructional materials on the most critical issues in cardiology targeted toward physicians in the newly independent states; the format is concise and easy to read. These materials summarize modern approaches developed in western medicine.

They are largely based on American, European, and the World Health Organization guidelines. We are working with world leaders in cardiovascular research and education.

To ensure the highest quality for our program, our team is collaborating with:

• The American College of Cardiology ,
• National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute
• The National Institutes of Health

In an effort to adapt our materials to the present environment in the former Soviet Union, we are trying to emphasize prevention and non-pharmacological treatment options (see translated tables of contents from our three monographs).
