MRI Because MRI uses a large magnet to acquire images, MRIs cannot be performed on patients with pacemakers, pacing wires, and/or cochlear ear implants. If you are claustrophobic and taking medication to decrease anxiety, please bring a driver. Download the CT prep instructions Download the CT screening form Fluoroscopy Because the fluoroscopic procedures we do are invasive, patients taking blood thinners or aspirin should consult with referring physicians regarding the required preparation for their fluoroscopy procedure. Our standard is for patients to be off aspirin/blood thinners 4 to 5 days prior to your procedure. Ultrasound Some ultrasound procedures require special preparation instructions including increased water intake and/or fasting.
