Community Outreach
The Hospital Education Program (HEP)
enjoys a strong relationship with the local community. The HEP also
believes that opportunities for learning should extend beyond hospital
walls. To foster this belief, the HEP sponsors both Reach Out and Read and Well Bear Clinic
. The success of these programs is enhanced by community and
University volunteers. Those interested in volunteering at the
University of Virginia Children's Hospital should contact the Office of
