After a welcome by Christine Peterson, M.D., recipient of the 2001 Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, Dr. Danny Becker, CHM Director provided opening remarks before the 2006 Residents' Humanism in Excellence and Teaching Awards were given to Joshua Adams, Mark Cummings, Juliana Lockman, Brendon Stiles, Steven Taylor and Crista Warniment.

Following the awards, Laurel Rice, M.D. and Mr. Bob Jebson addressed the audience.

After reciting the Becoming a Clinician Covenant, the class of 2008 received notebooks to mark the beginning of their clinical careers.
