Welcome! The Division of Hematology-Oncology provides, as its foremost mission and responsibility, excellent state-of-the-art medical treatment and care to patients with hematological and oncological diseases. Congruent with the clinical management of patients with these illnesses is an ongoing commitment to clinical research. Dedicated to the comprehensive education of our students and trainees in the fields of oncology and benign and malignant hematology, teaching is an important focus of the division’s faculty. Finally, the faculty of the Division provides scholarly and administrative support and leadership to the University, the Cancer Center and the community.
The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology includes physicians with a diversity of interests and skills. The faculty is comprised of individuals devoted to benign hematology, malignant hematology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, hemostasis and thrombosis, and solid tumor oncology. The Division of Hematology/Oncology provides both inpatient and outpatient services on a daily basis. A dedicated inpatient unit serves the specialized needs of the hematology/oncology population and consultative services in hematology and medical oncology are provided to other inpatient services 7 days per week by our faculty and fellows.
