M2 Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia with Eosinophilia
(M2e)
Description:
Eosinophilia with or without atypia is often seen in the M2 subtype. The more immature eosinophilic precursors (early eosinophilic myelocytes) are mildly atypical, characterized by the appearance of coarse cytoplasmic granules ranging in color from deeply basophilic primary- or basophil-like granules to those that have a salmon-like color. The more mature eosinophils are not atypical.
