  1. Visiting hours are from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday; 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday and Sunday for friends and family.

  2. Laundry facilities are available for your use or your family may take your clothes home for washing. 

  3. What is the difference between UVA-Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital and other Nursing facilities?  The Hospital is a much higher level of care and more intense level of therapy. Patients are in therapy (PT, OT, and Speech) for 3 hours per day; 5 - 7 days per week. Other nursing facilities offer much less intensive therapy and most of the time it is not offered daily.Patients are followed by our board certified Physiatrist (MD) dailyOur hospital is JCAHO certified (evaluated with a higher government compliance than any other post-acute care facility in the area)

  4. Children may visit but under adult supervision at all times.

  5. Cafeteria is open Monday through Friday 11:15 through 1:30 daily.  You may order a guest tray for $5.00 with a two-hour before meal notice at other times of the day.

  6. Your expected length of stay is based on several factors and are individualized to each patient.  There will be ongoing, weekly team conferences to discuss your anticipated discharge date.  Your case manager will provide you with updates from the team conferences.  This level of care is higher than any you will see outside of this facility.
