The UVa Health Resource Center (formerly known as "Bodytalk") is a confidential free service designed to provide you, your friends, and neighbors with easy access to health information in everyday language.  

Do you need to better understand an illness or disease, its treatment or prevention, or simply how to pronounce its name?  Would you like to find out more about an upcoming test or biopsy?  Do you need a general overview on the latest treatments for your illness?  We are here to help!

Visit us:       On the first floor of the West Complex (old hospital) near the lobby.  Walk-in hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM and by appointment.

Email us:     At healthresources@virginia.edu.  Please include your name, daytime telephone number, mailing address, and the specific topic on which you are requesting an information packet.

Once you contact us, we will develop an information packet based specifically on your request.  We have the most current resources available -- on everything from polyps to pregnancy to patient safety.

The UVa Health Resource Center is a volunteer-dependent, non-profit public service sponsored by the University of Virginia Medical Center.  We are able to prepare information packets for individuals only.  We cannot, by policy or copyright law, prepare a packet for an organization or professional to store, reproduce, or disseminate from his/her own office, agency, or library.
