Welcome to the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Office of Grants and Contracts. The mission of the Office of Grants and Contracts is to provide superior customer service to the SOM. Our goal is to form effective partnerships to facilitate research administration.
The School of Medicine Office of Grants and Contracts will provide assistance to faculty, research, and administrative staff of the SoM with the following:
- Review and approve proposals and contracts
- Assistance with compliance achievement
- Identify possible sources of support for research
- Interpret sponsor policies and guidelines
- Facilitate training and develop support tools
- Assist with budget development and application submission
- Provide non-financial post award assistance
- Assist in the account close-out process

- Research Agreements
- Material Transfer Agreements
- Confidentiality Agreements
- Consulting Agreements
