NEUROPHYSIOLOGY

- Phy. 862 / Biol. 817 (4)

Lectures and demonstrations 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Physiology Meeting Room.

Selected topics in neurophysiology will be taught with an emphasis on cellular and molecular neuroscience, sensory and motor systems. The course builds on how neurons convert physical stimuli into the sensations they evoke and on how movement is controlled through integrative neuronal action. We also will explore those mechanisms of learning and memory that can be explained at the neuronal and molecular levels. Well integrated lectures, discussions, and demonstrations will present advances in modern neurophysiology and their relation to neuronal function.

Organizational Meeting--Tuesday, September 7 at 10 am in the Physiol. Meeting Room (4-25 Jordan).

For information contact John T. Hackett, 924-5053.
