Spring semester 3 credits graded

Faculty lectures and class discussions

Monday and Wednesday (2:00 – 3:30 PM)
Jordan Hall 6th floor library

This course is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the role that chromatin structure plays in multiple chromosomal processes. Emphasis is placed on the integration of structural, biochemical, and genetic approaches to chromatin function. Through a combination of faculty lectures and class discussions of assigned papers, both historical and current topics will be covered. A short research proposal on any covered topic will be assigned that is turned in at the end of the semester. The schedule below may be rearranged, but the topics will remain the same.
