Riverside & UVA Radiosurgery Center
The University of Virginia Health System partnered with Riverside Regional Medical Center in 2006 to bring advanced radiosurgery technologies and treatments to Eastern Virginia, using new Gamma Knife and Synergy units at Riverside's campus.
The Gamma Knife is best-in-the-world technology for intracranial treatment of brain diseases, and Synergy is advanced technology for use on extra-cranial body sites such as the spine, neck, chest, breasts, lung, liver, pancreas, and prostate.
UVA Neurosurgeon Jason Sheehan is a co-Medical Director of the Riverside & UVA Radiosurgery Center.
