Dr. Heim joined the UVa faculty in 1999. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia in 1994. Dr. Heim completed his residency and a fellowship in Family Medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia, earning a master's degree in public health. He has a special interest in family centered obstetrical care, providing prenatal care in Nelson County and delivering babies at the UVa Hospital. He and his family enjoy art, music, food and exploring central Virginia.
