Purpose: Recent contribution to basic scientific research which extends the boundaries of any field of science. The Life Achievement award is based on lifetime accomplishments.
Who is eligible? Virginia scientists in any field, including mathematics, technology and the physical, biological or health sciences.
Who may nominate? Nomination letters should be from department heads and other colleagues from within the candidate's organization, as well as peers or others who can further explain the importance of the specific contributions.
