Award: Citation and cash prize
Deadline: September
Purpose: The highest award given to a member of the University community--recognizes a faculty member, administrator, or staff person who has exemplified, in character, work, and influence the principles and ideals of Thomas Jefferson, and thus has advanced the objectives for which Jefferson founded the University.

Who may nominate? Nominations may be submitted by a current member of the University community or any other interested individual.

Who is eligible? Long (a minimum of fifteen years) and committed service to the University is essential. No retired faculty, administrators or staff are eligible.
