Purpose: Recognize outstanding contributions to the field of biomedical ethics. Recipients will demonstrate leadership in medical ethics through serving on appropriate committees or commissions, through advocacy of policies, provision, or organizations of services, serving as a role model in the field, and demostration of innovation, creativity, and commitment to addressing ethical issues in healthcare.
Who may nominate? Candidates must be nominated by a peer.
Who is eligible? Qualified candidates may be physicians, nurses, research scientists, or anyone in the medical or professional ethics field who demonstrates the highest professional standards in addressing ethical issues relating to healthcare.

- Candidate's curriculum vitae, including bibliography
- Statement of evidence in justification of the nomination
- Up to 5 letters of support/nomination addressed to the Patricia Price Browne Prize Jury
