Purpose: Honor the AFMR founder, Dr. Henry Christian to recognize presenters and first authors of outstanding abstracts.
Who is eligible? AFMR-member physicians who are post-MD trainees, including residents, clinical fellows, physicians pursuing graduate degrees, and other post-doctoral fellows.

Outstanding Investigator Awards
Award: Honorarium and Certificate of Excellence

Purpose: Excellence in biomedical research.
Who is eligible? AFMR-member physicians who are 45 years of age or younger.

Junior Physician Investigator Awards
Award: Honorarium and Certificate of Excellence
Deadline: n/a
Purpose: Excellence in biomedical research.
Who may nominate? Applicants must submit a letter of support from their mentor, division chief, or department chair along with the attached application.
Who is eligible? Physician holding a full-time medical school faculty appointment for five years or less (must have submitted abstracts to the Clinical Research 2005 meeting), and will be judged on both the quality of the abstract submitted and their career accomplishments.
