Deadline: March 15 each year
Purpose : Honors junior faculty demonstrating exemplary service to patients and clinical excellence.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Junior faculty, who have not received this award in the past three years, who have demonstrated exemplary patient service and a high level of clinical skill.
PLEASE SEND SEVEN COPIES OF THE NOMINATION PACKET TO: Box 800793, School of Medicine or delivered to Staci Jarmon, Room 3026, Third Floor of McKim Hall by March 15.
THE NOMINATION PACKET SHOULD INCLUDE:
The President of the Clinical Staff, Dr. John Hanks will chair the selection committee that is comprised of the Vice President of the Clinical Staff, Dr. Robert Gibson; the Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, Dr. Jonathon Truwit and three previous recipients of this award (to be selected by the Senior Associate Dean).
CRITERIA FOR CLINICAL EXCELLENCE:
Although individual physicians may practice differently depending on personality, specialty, and location, there are certain characteristics common to most good practices and the best physicians excel in many or most of them.
