We also look for assessment of maturity, discipline, commitment, and professionalism.

Application Fee
Applications must include a nonrefundable $35 application fee. Checks should be made payable to the University of Virginia, Program in Health Care Ethics. Your canceled check will be your receipt.
Tuition and Fees
The tuition fee of $3,500 includes all course materials, but does not include housing.
We want to encourage interested students to think creatively about financial support. For instance, think about community organization scholarships in your home community. For University of Virginia students, consider the Parents Program Internship Grants; or the U.Va. Center for Undergraduate Excellence that includes the Harrison grants or funding offered through Arts and Sciences. Some of these resources are aware of this program - but we have no pre-established agreement with them for financial support. We will be glad to help with applications to a funding source.
Students with Disabilities
Prospective students who have questions concerning accommodations for physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or other disabling conditions should contact Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Martha Ballenger at 434.924.3737. Students accepted for admission are asked to contact Dean Ballenger, regardless of whether they provided information concerning disabilities in the admissions process, regarding their conditions and any appropriate accommodations needed to assure access to the school's academic programs and examinations. All information will be confidential except to the extent necessary to make accommodations.
