Histocore

As an integral part of the Digestive Health Research Center’s Morphology/Imaging Core, our goal is to provide a quality histological service that will meet each investigator’s needs.

Location: MR4 Building; Room 1111.

Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM
*The MIC Histocore will follow the UVA standard for Holidays

Anticipated Turn Around Time:
  • Standard H&E: 1-2 weeks (excluding scoring)
  • Immunohistochemistry: 1-2 weeks
  • Special Stains: Dependent on type of stain

Note: this core is approved for both animal and human tissue samples.
