Directions to UVA Health System

If on Interstate 64

Take I-64 East towards Charlottesville.  Take Exit 118-B.  Once you have taken that exit, then take the next exit, which will be U.S. Route 29 Business.  Follow the signs to the Medical Center.  At the end of that 2^nd exit, make a left onto Fontaine  (If you were heading west on I-64, then you would make a right onto Fontaine).  Follow Fontaine through the traffic light.  Fontaine then becomes Jefferson Park Avenue (JPA).  At the next light you come to, make a right.  Follow JPA until you get to Lee Street (you will see the hospital on your right).  Make a right and then a left to the 2^nd parking garage. 

If on US 29 (Route 29)

Take Route 29 into Charlottesville.  Route 29 becomes Seminole Trail and then eventually becomes Emmett Street.  Follow Emmett Street and as you approach the medical center it will turn into Jefferson Park Avenue.  Then follow JPA until you get to Lee Street (you will see the hospital on your right).  Make a right and then a left to the 2^nd parking garage.

Directions to Nutrition Services Department

Enter into the main hospital (white building).  Go in the front lobby and follow it straight ahead, past the entrance to the hospital cafeteria.  Take the elevator directly ahead to the basement level (floor 0).  Take a left and follow the signs to Dietary and Nutrition Services.  Enter through double doors on the left, then take the 1^st door on the right.  Let one of our secretaries, Linda Niven or Lynda Luttrell, know that you are here to meet with one of the internship directors.  If you have any questions about the above directions, please feel free to call me the internship office (434) 924-2348.  Bring your parking ticket with you so we can validate it.
