The new building will house the Clinical Performance Education Center (CPEC), comprised of:

    • the Medical Simulation Center, where students, residents, and emergency medical technicians will use computerized patient simulators to learn complex procedures and other vital skills,
    • and the Clinical Skills Training and Assessment Program, in which students are observed and videotaped while working with standardized patients to refine their exams and interactions.

Together, these programs form the foundation for the school's innovative new curriculum, to be launched in the fall of 2010.
